A seminar titled "Financial Assistance for Hearing Loss and Other Disabilities" will be offered on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. at Fairmount in Ephrata. The event will be held in the Wheat Ridge Gathering Room located at 2100 Farm Crest Drive on the west side of the Fairmount campus. The seminar is free and open to the public.

The seminar will be facilitated by apartment resident Dale Long, and the speaker will be Wendy Davis, a representative of the Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF). Davis will speak about financial assistance for people with hearing loss, as well as financial assistance for those with other disabilities. Funding is available, including zero interest loans, which can sometimes be forgiven. Most of the loans are available regardless of income. Davis will explain various options.
