After 39 seasons as the varsity girls' and boys' volleyball coach at Hempfield High School, Mike Vogel has decided to retire. Through Vogel's leadership, Hempfield High School won seven state gold championships, two state runner-up silver accolades, 16 District III championships, and 24 Lancaster-Lebanon championships.

A retirement celebration event will take place on Saturday, May 28, from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Olympia Room at Spooky Nook Sports, 75 Champ Blvd., Manheim.
