Herb and Garden Faire slated

In honor of its 100th anniversary, Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum will present the 2025 Herb and Garden Faire on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

At the heart of the Faire is the heirloom plant sale, offering a wide selection of rare and historic herbs, vegetables, and flowers cultivated through the museum's Heirloom Seed Project. Since 1986, this project has been dedicated to preserving plant varieties once grown by Pennsylvania German farmers. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase these plants and bring a piece of agricultural history into their own gardens.

More than 80 vendors will be on-site, offering plants, garden tools, handmade crafts, and garden decor. Expert gardening demonstrations and historic craft displays will provide hands-on learning for visitors of all ages. The Faire will also feature a variety of local food trucks serving refreshments throughout the day.

As part of its 100th anniversary celebration, Landis Valley will offer special exhibits and activities that highlight the museum's century-long mission to preserve and share Pennsylvania's agricultural and cultural heritage. Founded in 1925 by brothers Henry and George Landis, the museum has become a nationally recognized center for Pennsylvania German history, living history demonstrations, and immersive educational experiences.

There is an admission fee to the historical site. For more information, visit http://www.landisvalleymuseum.org/event/herb-garden-faire-2025-at-landis-valley-village-farm-museum.
