Herb Guild sets meeting, Herb Fest

The Conestoga Herb Guild has planned a meeting and its annual Herb Fest.

The meeting will occur on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Millersville VFW, 219 Walnut Hill Road, Millersville, and the program will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Adam Barkafski, who has been a Penn State Extension Master Gardener in Lancaster County since 2018, will present "Creating Pollinator Habitat at Home." Barkafski will explain how gardens of any size, from pots on a balcony to acres of land, can support and host a wide variety of pollinators and other beneficial insects. Attendees will learn what pollinators need to thrive, how their garden can meet their needs, and practical tips to make the most of their space.

Guests are welcome for a fee, and they may stay for refreshments following a brief business meeting. To register, contact Susan Atkins at 717-725-7451 or atkinsateb@aol.com.

Herb Fest will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Millersville VFW. The event is free of charge.
