Lauren Hess of Lititz was a member of a student team at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Worcester, Mass., that recently completed a research project titled "A Relational Database of Conservation Approaches." Hess is a member of the Class of 2024.

At WPI, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology to address an important societal need or issue. Hess is working on a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering.
