The Middletown Area Historical Society's third annual Frosty 5, 5K Run or Walk will take place on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 9:30 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the Middletown Area Historical Society's mission to collect, preserve and teach about the history of Middletown and the surrounding area.

The road course race will start and finish in Hoffer Park, 325 Mill St., Middletown, and participants will traverse the east side of Middletown Borough. Participants may run or walk the course, and pets are welcome. After the race, snacks will be provided by The Hetrick Center along with hot soup from Alfred's Victorian Restaurant.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three males, females and youths under age 15. Age group winner medals will be given to both male and female group winners. The age groups are 8 and under, 9 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and up. Door prizes will also be handed out.
