Historical society sets meeting

The Mount Joy Area Historical Society will host Robert Frick as the guest speaker at its monthly meeting to be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 19, at the Cemetery Road Schoolhouse, 120 Fairview St., Mount Joy. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Frick, retired superintendent of the Lampeter-Strasburg School District and current storyteller, will present a program on first ladies Eleanor Roosevelt and Mamie Eisenhower.

The society building is open to the public every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Visitors may stop by to do research and see the many displays of Mount Joy memorabilia. For more information, visit http://www.mountjoyhistory.com.
