The Maytown Historical Society will hold its annual picnic on Thursday, Aug. 17, in the backyard of the museum at 4 W. High St., Maytown. The picnic will begin at 6 p.m.

Anyone interested in becoming a member of the historical society is invited to attend. Members learn about and promote Maytown's history.

Hot dogs, rolls, condiments, place settings, and water will be provided. Attendees should bring a lawn chair, a dessert or side to share, and a memory of a game they played in their childhood.

A short business meeting will follow the picnic. A list of meetings and activities for the year will be shared.
