Historical society sets program

Hummelstown Area Historical Society will host a presentation on homing pigeons by Frank Zulli on Tuesday, July 16. The program will take place at 7 p.m. in the Deimler backyard of the historical society library, 32 W. Main St., Hummelstown.

Topics will include homing pigeon racing, raising, and training, as well as the historical significance of these birds, particularly during World War II. Zulli will share about the unique bond between humans and pigeons and the invaluable contributions the pigeons made during wartime.

This event is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. Lemonade will be provided.
