The Solanco Historical Society will hold its next program on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1:30 p.m. at the society's archives building, located across from the Robert Fulton Birthplace at 1932 Robert Fulton Highway (Route 222), Quarryville. The program is free and open to the public.

The program will be "The Illustrated Story of the Little, Old and Slow" by Stan White. Mary Boomsma, who died on Sept. 17, 2022, and White worked over the years to present many programs on local topics. Possibly Boomsma's favorite was on the L., O. & S. Railroad, although the program on the Sunken Town of Peach Bottom Village was a close second. Having a recording of the "Little, Old and Slow" program, made during a rehearsal, White was able to bring Boomsma along for one more presentation, in remembrance of the fun they had working together.
