Holiday Movie Night Planned

The classic holiday film "The Polar Express" will be shown on a large screen among the historic trains during Movie Night in Rolling Stock Hall at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, 300 Gap Road, Strasburg, on Saturday, Dec. 10. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the movie will begin at 6:30 p.m.

In "The Polar Express," on Christmas Eve, a steam locomotive passenger train known as the Polar Express stops at the house of a boy who is growing skeptical about the existence of Santa Claus. The conductor says the train is traveling to the North Pole, and the boy, although reluctant at first, climbs aboard.

Each ticket includes a screening of the film, popcorn, and hot chocolate. Advance tickets are available at http://www.eventbrite.com. If available, tickets will be sold at the door.

For more information, visit http://www.rrmuseumpa.org or call 717-687-8628. The proceeds of movie night will benefit the nonprofit Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.
