A Wildcrafted Medicinals Plant Walk will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Attendees will learn the essentials of foraging, including plant identification, terminology, safety, medicinal and edible uses of plants, and ethical harvest. The program will also cover how to process various herbs to prepare them for various medicinal applications, as well as how to store them for future use.

Artisan Herbal Tinctures at Home will take place on April 18 from noon to 3 p.m. Participants will learn how to make high-quality herbal tinctures. The class will cover the fundamentals of creating alcohol and vinegar extracts using both precision and folk methods, selecting and preparing fresh and dry plant materials, determining ratios, essential chemistry and solubility concepts, tools of the trade, and terminology. Attendees will receive hands-on experience making an extract and will be able to take home what they make. The program will also cover how to apply different types of herbal medicine, including basic information on dosing and safety, and will explore the importance of sensory connection to plant medicine with time to practice taste testing.
