Horn Farm sets baking workshops

Horn Farm Center for Agricultural Education, 4945 Horn Road, York, will host two baking workshops spotlighting gluten-free and vegan desserts. Both programs will take place on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Holiday Gourmet: DIY Gifts From the Kitchen will be presented on Dec. 14; topics will include infused oils and fermented fruit relish. Guilt-Free Desserts for the New Year will be held on Dec. 28. Each workshop will cover the fundamentals of gluten-free and vegan baking, and participants will leave with their own freshly made treats, along with recipes.

There is a fee. The workshops are hands-on, and space is limited. Preregistration is required at http://www.hornfarmcenter.org/kitchen-classes/.

While the classes cover appropriate content for participants with gluten sensitivities, the Horn Farm's teaching kitchen is not a gluten-free facility.
