How-To Gardening Workshops Posted

Penn State Extension Dauphin County Master Gardeners will offer three gardening workshops to the community. All workshops will be held at Wildwood Park, 100 Wildwood Way, Harrisburg.

How to Plant Your Home Garden Bed will be offered from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, and participants will learn how to start a garden for the summer, including some practical planting techniques. How to Soil Test Your Home Garden will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, and participants will learn how to conduct a home garden soil test and interpret the results. How to Add the "Wow Factor" to Your Home Garden will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 19. Participants will learn how to create excitement within their flower beds with a burst of color, an interesting container, or an unusual plant.

Workshops will include both an indoor and outdoor component. Masks and social distancing are required. Participants should dress for the weather and bring their own personal gardening gloves.
