The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA) Inc., 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, recently announced the results of its 2022 Penguin Plunge held on Jan. 1. A total of $21,000 was raised by the annual event to support homeless animals.

In addition, the HSHA will hold its annual Glove Drive in February to support its need for approximately 300,000 latex, vinyl, or nitrile gloves each year to feed, clean, and medicate the animals it serves. To contribute, individuals may drop gloves off at HSHA directly, order gloves through Amazon and have them shipped to HSHA, and/or make a monetary donation directed to the HSHA Glove Drive.
