Humane Pennsylvania Seeks Donations, Welcomes Vet

Humane Pennsylvania invites area residents to donate to Spike's Pet Pantry Program so that the organization can continue to serve hungry pets in need.

The most needed items are dry dog food and dry cat food. Other needed items include canned food for dogs, cats or kittens.

Orders can be placed through Humane Pennsylvania's Amazon Wish List or a local grocery store or pet store. Donations should be delivered directly or brought to the Freedom Center for Animal Life-Saving, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Additionally, the Humane Veterinary Hospital Reading team has welcomed veterinarian Dr. Brandon Wegner. Wegner is a 2009 graduate of Ross University and has worked in small animal practices in Chicago and Pennsylvania. He is a husband and a father to three children. The family has three dogs, three cats, and six chickens.

Humane Veterinary Hospital Reading is now fully open. To schedule an appointment, visit https://hvhospitals.org/contact-us/.
