Huntzinger approved as CVSD's next CFOO

At the Conestoga Valley School Board's March 13 meeting, the board approved Adele Huntzinger to be the district's next chief finance and operations officer (CFOO).

Huntzinger has been with Conestoga Valley School District (CVSD) for 23 years and most recently served as the director of finance. As CFOO, Huntzinger will oversee the district's $89 million budget as well as its operations. In 2013, the Conestoga Valley School Board presented an award of excellence to Huntzinger, who was assistant director of business services at the time, for "proactively recognizing problems and the need for change while implementing creative, cost-saving solutions."

Huntzinger replaces Phyllis Heverly Flesher, who left the position of CFOO in September 2022.

Before working at CV, Huntzinger acquired 14 years of experience in public accounting as a certified public accountant (CPA). She served as the auditor for corporate, governmental, and nonprofit entities, and she prepared corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and individual tax returns.

Huntzinger attended Millersville University, where she received a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. She remains a certified CPA.
