The Lititz Historical Foundation's annual ice cream social will be held on Sunday, Sept. 3, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Mary Oehme Gardens, located behind the foundation, 145 E. Main St., Lititz.

The event will feature music provided by Get Petty, a Tom Petty cover band that formed during the pandemic. The band's members were drawn together by their shared love of Petty's music, including hits with the Heartbreakers, the Traveling Wilburys, and Mudcrutch, and in Petty's solo career. Although the band is new, its members have a combined total of more than 100 years of professional experience playing in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland.

Attendees are advised to bring blankets and chairs. Refreshments will be available for a nominal fee.

Admission is by donation, with proceeds helping the historical foundation to preserve its gardens and 18th-century structures. Ice cream will be provided by Greco's Italian Ices and Homemade Ice Cream of Lititz. The musical performance is sponsored by Shenny Enterprises.
