Ice Cream Sundae Day posted

The Eicher Arts Center will hold its annual Ice Cream Sundae Day on Sunday, June 9.

Members of the public may stop at the historic Eicher Center, 409 Cocalico St., in Ephrata Borough's Grater Park, to get an ice cream sundae from 2 p.m. until supplies run out, possibly around 5 p.m. Hot dogs and other food and drinks will also be available.

The Celtic band Across the Pond will provide music in a tent outside the Eicher Center from 4 to 6 p.m. The band plays airs, jigs, slip jigs, reels, ballads, and more from Ireland, Scotland, Appalachia, and other places. Across the Pond has performed at numerous festivals in Pennsylvania and beyond.

Additionally, Joyful Canvas will provide face painting and hand out balloon creations from 2 to 4 p.m. Inside the Eicher House, Penn's Woods Theater in Miniature will perform the play "Rumpelstiltskin" at 2:15 and 3:15 p.m.

Admission to the festivities is free, and donations to the Eicher Arts Center will be accepted. The event will be held rain or shine. People may bring lawn chairs for the concert.
