Eastern York Recreation Authority (EYRA) will offer a coed intramural soccer program this fall for youths in the U5 to U9 age range. The season will begin in mid- to late August, weather-permitting, and run through late October for younger players and November for older players.

Practices will typically occur on Mondays and Wednesdays or on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with games on Saturday mornings. All practices and games will take place at Barshinger Fields, 95 Accomac Road, York. Teams will compete against others in the Eastern York Soccer Club.

Youths born between Aug. 1, 2020, and July 31, 2022, may play on the U5 and U6 teams, while those born between Aug. 1, 2017, and July 31, 2020, may play on the U7, U8, or U9 teams.

Players will receive a T-shirt, shorts, and socks. They must have shin guards. Soccer cleats are highly recommended, but sneakers are also accepted. They are encouraged to use a size 3 soccer ball.

The fee includes the uniform, and there is a discount for residents of Hallam Borough, Hellam Township, or Lower Windsor Township.
