JBT Announces Promotion, Appointment

Jonestown Bank & Trust Co. (JBT) recently announced that Michael Grenier of Harrisburg has been promoted to chief risk officer.

As chief risk officer, Grenier is responsible for overseeing JBT's risk management efforts, loan workout and collections, credit administration, compliance with regulatory requirements such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), as well as security efforts related to monitoring suspicious banking activity and the physical safety of JBT locations.

Grenier has been employed with JBT for more than nine years in various roles, including his most recent position as assistant vice president credit administration and risk management officer. Grenier joined JBT as branch manager at the bank's Quentin Road location before being named credit administration officer. A graduate of Gettysburg College with a Bachelor of Arts in management and economics, Grenier is a licensed certified community bank risk specialist with 33 years of banking experience.

In addition, Troy A. Peters, president of JBT, was named to serve on the Consumer Financial Services Committee of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA). ICBA is the nation's voice for community banks.

In addition to helping shape and advocate ICBA's national policy positions and programs, Peters' duties include engaging in grassroots activities in Pennsylvania to promote pro-community bank policies and serving as a liaison between community banks and ICBA staff and leadership in Washington, D.C.
