JLL plans Centennial Gala

In celebration of its 100th anniversary, the Junior League of Lancaster (JLL) will hold a Centennial Gala on Saturday, June 1, at the Fulton Theatre, 12 N. Prince St., Lancaster. The event will begin at 7 p.m.

For more than 50 years, representatives of the JLL have graced the stage at the Fulton Theatre, presenting shows that not only supported renovations at the theater but also made a significant impact on local organizations.

Sponsored by the Louise Steinman von Hess Foundation as the Centennial Presenting Sponsor and Woodstream Foundation, the gala will bring together active and sustaining members, community partners, and friends of the JLL for an evening of food, drinks, dancing, and live music provided by the Mama Tried Band. Catering will be provided by Cracked Pepper Catering.

Throughout its history, the JLL has been dedicated to identifying and addressing the evolving needs of Lancaster County. From preserving historical landmarks like Rock Ford to supporting the restoration of Wheatland, the league has helped to shape the cultural and educational landscape of the region. Today, the JLL is focusing on addressing food and nutrition accessibility, seeking to combat a lack of access to healthy and nutrient-rich food while enhancing nutrition knowledge and dietary habits for all segments of Lancaster County's population.

The gala marks the culmination of a yearlong series of commemorative events underscoring the JLL's enduring commitment to community engagement and volunteerism.
