Jurs Named To Bar Association Board

Family law, litigation and criminal defense attorney Kelly A. Jurs, of the law firm Gawthrop Greenwood, has been named to the board of directors of the Chester County Bar Association.

With 15 years of litigation experience in the Chester County court system, Jurs practices in family law and is a member of the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators. She handles all aspects of family law, including pre- and post-nuptial planning, divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, child custody, property settlement, and related litigation and mediation.

Jurs is qualified in Pennsylvania to serve as defense counsel on capital cases. She represents clients in felony and misdemeanor cases, from the filing of a criminal complaint through trial and post-trial review, on issues such as DUI, possession, theft, assault, drug trafficking, and first-degree homicide. Jurs also handles plea negotiations, treatment court resolutions, probation and parole violations, and juvenile court.

Active in public service and her community, Jurs was recently named to the Grants Allocation Committee for The Fund for Women and Girls. She serves on the board of Marshallton Conservation Trust Inc. and the board of the Charles A. Melton Arts and Education Center. Jurs is also on the West Bradford Open Space, Recreation, and Environmental Resources plan steering committee.
