KCL Activities Calendar Posted

Kreutz Creek Library (KCL), 66 Walnut Springs Road, York, will offer programs and services to the community. Registration is required. For details and registration, visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

Several story time programs will be offered. Baby and Toddler Story Time for children from birth to age 2 will be held from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. on Wednesdays through March 8. Preschool Story Times for children ages 3 to 5 will run from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. on Fridays through March 10. Family Story Time with Miss Felicia at Chick-Fil-A East, 2801 E. Market St., York, will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 9 to 10 a.m.

Builder's Club for children ages 6 to 12 will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16. A variety of building toys will be available to participants, and no registration is required.

Teen Leadership will meet on Feb. 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to plan projects and programs for the teen space at the library. If interested, call Miss Kayla at 717-252-4080.

Tween Programs for tweens ages 9 to 11 will be held on Tuesdays, Feb. 14 and 21, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The Danger Club will meet on Feb. 14, and the Library Squad will meet on Feb. 21 to shape library programs for tweens.

Spoiler Alert, a virtual book review group for youths ages 12 to 18, will be held via Zoom from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 16. The group reads teen books and then posts reviews to Instagram and YouTube.

Stitch and Chat, a group of needleworkers, will meet on Thursdays, Feb. 2 and 16, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and on Tuesdays, Feb. 7 and 21, from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Attendees will meet in the Community Room. Registration is not required.

Reiki Meditation with Miranda will be offered on Feb. 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Community Room. The session is designed to promote feelings of peace, relaxation, and well-being.

York Chess Club will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 7 and 14 in the Community Room. Attendees will play chess, learn tips on how to improve their game, and meet like-minded people. People of all ages and experience levels are welcome.

The Green Thumb Garden Talk will be held from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Community Room. The program will be "Make Your Garden Thrive With Raised Beds" with Melanie Markowski featuring tips and tricks to expand a garden's yield with raised beds. Light refreshments will be provided, and no registration is necessary.

A book discussion to kick off National Library Lover's Month will take place on Feb. 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Participants will discuss "The Chocolatier" by Jan Moran. Copies of "The Chocolatier" are available for checkout at the Member Services Desk.

A live virtual program to meet Jan Moran, author of "The Chocolatier," via Zoom will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Participants will discuss books, writing, and chocolate.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library Branch Support Group will gather at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the Community Room. Attendees will share fundraising ideas and ways to raise awareness of the library in the community.
