Kids Carnival set at Limeville Church

Parents looking for a free afternoon of entertainment for their children are invited to a Kids Carnival being presented at Limeville Church on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Featured activities will include a bounce house, a barrel train ride, carnival-type games and storytelling. "We will also have face painting and sand art. New this year is a photo booth," said Deb Baldwin, who is organizing the event along with Jane Haugh and other church volunteers.

All children in attendance will receive a prize and free snacks. "When they come, they will get a bag with a prize ticket in there and tickets for free popcorn, a snow cone and cotton candy," Baldwin explained, noting that information about the church and its services and outreach activities will also be included in the bag. "There will also be a ticket for all children and adults to get a free hot dog and water." Additional quantities of food can be purchased.

Children will be able to choose a prize from the prize table. "We have bubbles, puzzles, blow-up baseball bats and other fun little stuff that has been donated," Baldwin noted.

All events will take place outdoors in a grassy area behind the church, and there will be no charge for any of the activities. All children in attendance must be accompanied by an adult. In the event of inclement weather, cancellation information will be posted on the church's Facebook page.
