Kreutz Creek Library Posts Events

Kreutz Creek Library (KCL), 66 Walnut Springs Road, York, will offer programs and services to the community. Registration is required. For details and registration, visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

The library has posted new operating hours. The library will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, from noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

SummerQuest 2022: Oceans of Possibilities will be offered from June to August. SummerQuest will offer children and teens ways to stay active in mind and body all summer long. Registration will open on Sunday, May 15. A kickoff event will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4.

Stitch and Chat will gather from 6 to 7:45 p.m. in the Community Room on Thursdays, May 5 and 19. The group is open to individuals who knit, crochet, cross-stitch, or embroider. People of all skill levels are welcome, including those who want to learn.

Preschool Story Time with Miss Felicia will be held on Friday, May 6, at 10:30 a.m. The program is open to children ages 3 to 5.

Baby and Toddler Story Time with Miss Felicia will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4. The program is open to children up to age 3.

Programs for tweens ages 9 to 12 will be offered virtually or in person on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The Danger Club will meet on Tuesday, May 10, to explore magic and mayhem. The Library Squad will gather on Tuesday, May 24, to discuss programs for tweens.

Spoiler Alert!, a virtual teen book review group for teens ages 13 to 18, will meet via Zoom from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17. The group reads teen books and then posts reviews to Instagram and YouTube.

The Friends of KCL fundraiser will take place all day at Hoss's Steak and Sea House, 3604 E. Market St., York, on May 5. Patrons who present a coupon when ordering will get a percentage of their total check donated to the library by Hoss's. Contact the library for coupons.

The library will participate in Give Local York on May 6 from midnight to 11:59:59 p.m. Individuals may donate by cash or check at the library or participating businesses, including Hallamshire Family Restaurant, American Daydream, The Rustic Cup, and the Wild Batch Bistro. Individuals may also donate at http://www.givelocalyork.org.

Green Thumb Garden Talk will take place from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 12. Master Gardener Carol McDonald will present "Planting a Rain Garden for Cleaner Water." No reservations are needed.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library will meet on Tuesday, May 24, at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room. Everyone is welcome to attend.

May Mystery at the Library, a virtual author event, will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25.

The Cookbook Discussion Group will meet on Thursday, May 26, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Attendees should bring a sweet or savory prepared dish based on May's theme, "Fresh Air Fare." Attendees should bring copies of their recipe.
