Three Lampeter-Strasburg High School (L-S) seniors have been named as Commended Students in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended Students are recognized for their outstanding performance on the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Each placed among the top 50,000 out of 1.5 million high school students who took the test in 2020.

L-S' Commended Students and their intended areas of study in college are as follows: Anderson Grubb, computer science; Ryker Holsinger, biology or a related science; and Maggie Visniski, mathematics.
