Lititz Area Mennonite School (LAMS) held its Serve-A-Thon, the reimagining of a 37-year tradition, on Oct. 5. Students ranging from kindergartners to high-schoolers, as well as teachers and parent volunteers, went to various nonprofit organizations within the community and spent approximately 1,500 cumulative hours serving. Cleaning, weeding, tree planting and food packaging were just a few of the tasks.

This event gave students the opportunity to practice 1 Peter 4:11, one of the school's core values. Serve-A-Thon also functions as a fundraiser for the school, with students asking family members, friends and community members to sponsor them for this day of service.
