Lancaster Catholic Announces Homecoming Court

On Friday, Oct. 22, Lancaster Catholic High School (LCHS) will hold its annual homecoming celebration. The 2021 homecoming queen will be crowned during halftime of the varsity football game against Garden Spot High School (GSHS).

The queen will be crowned by the 2020 queen Daica Perez. The 2021 homecoming queen candidates are Lily Besecker, Elizabeth Cloonan, Avery Fritsch, Maura Hogan, Gloria Leone, Katherine Lyle, Jocelyn Miller, Meghan Myers, Isabelle Titzer, and Ella Wolfe. All the girls will be escorted to the game by their fathers.

Lily Besecker is the daughter of Joe and Martha Besecker of Lititz. At school, Lily is a member of the Spanish National Honor Society (SNHS), Spanish Club, Future Medical Leaders of America (FMLA), and tennis team. Following graduation, she plans to study veterinary medicine.

Elizabeth Cloonan is the daughter of Brian and Monica Cloonan of Leola. At school, Elizabeth is a member of SNHS, FMLA, Garden Club, Spanish Club, Respect Life Club, and Varsity Club. She is involved with Mini-THON, and she serves as captain of the girls' soccer team. She also plays basketball. Outside school, she plays club basketball. Following graduation, she plans to attend college to become a nurse practitioner and continue her soccer career.

Avery Fritsch is the daughter of Tom and Gwen Fritsch of Lancaster. At school, Avery is vice president of Youth Club and captain of the dance team. She is a member of Aevidum, Spanish Club, Garden Club, Prom Committee, Respect Life Club, and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and she is involved with Mini-THON. Outside school, she has taken dance lessons for 15 years. Following graduation, she plans to attend college to study broadcast journalism.

Maura Hogan is the daughter of Daniel and Nicole Hogan of Ephrata.

Gloria Leone is the daughter of Edward and Kelly Leone of Lancaster. At school, she is a member of SNHS, Prom Committee, Garden Club, Respect Life Club, Environmental Club, Link Crew, FMLA, Spanish Club, and Youth Club. She is a Student Ambassador. She plays field hockey and is a cheerleader for the basketball team. Following graduation, she plans to attend college to major in communications and minor in journalism.

Katherine Lyle is the daughter of Kenneth and Holly Lyle of Columbia. At school, she is president of Tri-M Music Honor Society and historian for the International Thespian Society. She is a member of Prom Committee, Youth Club, marching band, color guard, concert choir, Link Crew, Vox Pop, and Mass choir, and she has taken part in fall plays and spring musicals. She is a Student Ambassador. Outside school, she is a cantor at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, where she takes part in church youth group. She is also involved with Attollo. Following graduation, she plans to attend a university to major in communications.

Jocelyn Miller is the daughter of Richard and Tunisia Miller of Denver. At LCHS, she is a member of Tri-M Music Honor Society, concert choir, Mass choir, a service group, Aevidum, and Link Crew. She is a Student Ambassador and has participated in the school musical. At Lebanon Catholic High School, she took part in varsity soccer, softball, and cheerleading and was on the yearbook staff. Outside school, she takes vocal and piano lessons. Following graduation, she plans to attend college to earn a degree in early childhood education, while minoring in art education.

Meghan Myers is the daughter of Christopher and Dana Myers of Lancaster. At school, she is president of Youth Club. She is a member of National Honor Society (NHS), SNHS, Varsity Club, FMLA, Garden Club, and Spanish Club, and she takes part in Mini-THON. Outside school, she is a senior altar server at Saint John Neumann Church. Following graduation, she plans to attend a university to pursue a Bachelor of Science in nursing with hopes of becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Isabelle Titzer is the daughter of Michael and Amy Titzer of Lititz. At school, she is president of the International Thespian Society, vice president of Varsity Club, secretary of Tri-M Music Honor Society, and treasurer of Spanish Club. She is a member of NHS, SNHS, Link Crew, Vox Pop, guitar ensemble, rock band, Garden Club, Mass choir, and concert choir. She has taken part in school musicals. She is a Student Ambassador, she is involved with Mini-THON, and she plays varsity field hockey. Outside school, she has taken part in theatrical performances. Following graduation, she plans to attend college to pursue a degree in performing arts while minoring in business.

Ella Wolfe is the daughter of Jeremy and Jennifer Wolfe of Lancaster. At school, she is co-president of the Varsity Club. She is a member of NHS, FMLA, Aevidum, Youth Club, Garden Club, and Link Crew. She is a Student Ambassador. She serves as captain of the field hockey team and takes part in track and field. Following graduation, she plans to attend college to study nursing in hopes of eventually becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner.
