Lancaster County BIA Awards Posted

The Building Industry Association (BIA) of Lancaster County announced award winners at its annual installation banquet on Jan. 13. The Building, Industry, and Association Awards; the Young Professional Award; and the President's Award were chosen by BIA peers and staff members for the 2021 year.

The Building Award recognizes a member who contributes to the creation of quality homes, thus strengthening relationships in the local community and providing business opportunities for those who support the industry. The winner is Tim Kotzmoyer from TK Building & Design.

The Industry Award recognizes a member who has strongly advocated for the industry position on issues that influence BIA members' ability to do business. The winner is John Bear of Stevens & Lee/Griffin.

The Association Award recognizes a member who has represented the association as an ambassador, volunteer, and leader, promoting the association and its member companies. The winner is Jason Herr from Trout CPA.

The Young Professional Award recognizes a young professional who has represented the association as an ambassador, volunteer, and leader, promoting the association and its member companies. The winner is Claudia Shank of McNees Wallace & Nurick.

The President's Award recognizes a member who stood out during the term of 2021 BIA president Steve Cook. The winner is Randy Hess from Hess Home Builders.
