Landis Homes holds event focused on brain health

Landis Homes hosted Brain Awareness Day on March 13. The conference-style event was dedicated to exploring brain health through education, activities, and music. Attendees had the opportunity to learn, interact, and experience firsthand the ways people can support cognitive function at every stage of life. The event was inspired by Brain Awareness Week, a global campaign started by the Dana Foundation to raise awareness of brain science and its impact on people's lives.

The Landis Homes event featured three interactive areas, and participants could move freely between presentations. The activities were all designed to spark curiosity, joy, and connection.

Attendees explored topics such as the power of music and space design in shaping brain function, trusting God and his promises in the face of brain changes, and the gut-brain connection and the role of nutrition in cognitive health. The event also featured brain teasers, cognitive puzzles, and hands-on activities intended to challenge and strengthen the mind. Attendees sampled brain-boosting foods. According to attendee feedback, the most loved activity of the day was the interactive Music and Movement session, where people listened to and played music and learned about the power of rhythm and sound in enhancing brain function.
