LBC Posts Conference, Concert

The Lancaster Bible College (LBC) | Capital Seminary & Graduate School will host two special events in early November. Both events are open to the community.

The LBC Counseling & Social Work Department will host the 2022 East Regional Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS) Conference from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, at The Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 N. Market St., Lancaster. Counselors, clinicians, psychologists, clergy, behavioral mental health professionals, academics, and students will have opportunities to gather and share research, while encouraging faith and practice integration across multidisciplinary fields.

With the theme of "Windows to Transformation: The Sacred Work of the Embodied Therapist," the conference will welcome keynote speaker Roy Barsness, formerly of the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and author of "Core Competencies in Relational Psychoanalysis: A Guide to Practice, Study and Research." LBC's Music, Worship & Performing Arts Department will perform a free joint concert featuring the LBC Chorale and Orchestra at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, in Good Shepherd Chapel at the college's campus, located at 901 Eden Road, Lancaster. The groups will present an afternoon of music featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Camille Saint-Saëns and American composer George Walker.
