LCCTF announces scholarship, grant winners

The Lancaster County Career & Technology Foundation (LCCTF) has announced this year's Scholarship and Workforce Grant recipients. These Lancaster County Career & Technology Center (LCCTC) students were selected due to their dedication to their studies, development of skills, and completion of their coursework. This year, across all LCCTC campuses, the LCCTF awarded $36,000 in scholarships and $21,000 in Workforce Grants.

The LCCTF awards scholarships for LCCTC high school students who are pursing postsecondary education. Scholarship dollars provide for tuition, books, or supplies and equipment needed for postsecondary or continuing education.

The scholarship recipients are Nicole Kambouroglos from Hempfield High School, Baking and Pastry Scholarship; Alexander "Psi" De La Parra Gurr, Manheim Township, Culinary Arts Scholarship; Elizabeth Hubbs, Penn Manor, Public Safety Scholarship; Micah Afutiti, Warwick, General Scholarship; Chloe Keeports, Elizabethtown, General Scholarship; Ryan Findlay, Elizabethtown, Lancaster County Code Association Scholarship; Isabella Salinas, Lampeter-Strasburg, Susquehanna Litho Club Scholarship; Morgan Robertson, Solanco, J&J Service Solutions Scholarship; Dylan Reeser, Conestoga Valley, General Scholarship; Kevin Kurembereza, School District of Lancaster, Healthcare Scholarship; Manaika Bonzile, Hempfield, Ashland Foundation; Hannah Hostetter, Manheim Central, LCCTC Healthcare Scholarship; Anthony Joseph "AJ" Barone, Lampeter-Strasburg, Louis & Dick Vermeil Scholarship; and Aiden Jones, Lancaster Catholic, Louis & Dick Vermeil Scholarship.

LCCTF Workforce Grants are designed with the workforce-bound student in mind. The grants help high school and adult LCCTC students to obtain the tools, equipment, uniforms or other items needed for employment.

Several grants were sponsored by area businesses or organizations. Grants sponsored by Lancaster County Code Association were awarded to Tyler Molloy, Elizabethtown, Carpentry Technology, and Winal Rodriquez-Perez, Hempfield, Architectural CAD/Design. J&J Service Solutions sponsored grants awarded to welding students Dawson Arnold from Mount Calvary Christian School and Nicholas Schlegel from Penn Manor. Susquehanna Automotive sponsored grants for Griffin Baker, Lancaster Mennonite, Automotive Technology; Carter Griest, Cocalico, Automotive Technology; Joshua Stock, Penn Manor, Powersports Technology; and Andrew Lockman, Cocalico, Automotive Technology.

Workforce Grants were also awarded to Jenna Zeiset, Warwick, Early Childhood Education; Nicholas Haas, Manheim Central, Welding; Tyler Keim, Elizabethtown, Precision Machining; Cole White, Conestoga Valley, Culinary Arts; Emmanuel Pentz, School District of Lancaster, Welding; Dylan Noll, Penn Manor, Protective Services Academy; Hannah Joy Bowman, homeschooled, Commercial Art; Andrew Morris, Manheim Township, HVAC; Jordan Fizer, Solanco, Electrical; Daniel Herran, Eastern Lancaster County, Electrical; Jared A. High, Manheim Central, Electrical; Jared Patton, Eastern Lancaster County, Plumbing; Kevin Toms, Donegal, Veterinary Assistant; Madelyn Diener, Manheim Township, Dental Assistant; Mason Doughty, Solanco, Powersports Technology; Darrell Barnett, Solanco, Powersports Technology; Mileena Brasile, Donegal, Patient Care Technician; Hunter Erb, Penn Manor, Powersports Technology; Abigail Hahn, Warwick, Animal Production Science & Technology; and Alex J. Lizardi-Laracuente, Penn Manor, Collision Repair.

Grants were also awarded to adult students Karina Rosa-Santiago, Haley Cikovic, Alyssa Breault, Moriah Garber, Jessica Norman, Jacqueline Pegler and Erica Hindermyer, all of whom plan to work in the field of dental hygiene, along with Keri Anderson, who plans to work in veterinary technology.
