The Lancaster County Planning Commission (LCPC) is seeking nominations for its 2023 places2040 Planning Leadership Awards program. These awards are designed to recognize planning projects and individuals who demonstrate leadership and effectiveness in implementing places2040, the Lancaster County comprehensive plan. Planning projects and individuals from the public, private, or nonprofit sectors are eligible for leadership awards.

Students are also encouraged to submit projects that increase the understanding and support for good planning, the planning process, and places2040. Examples of student projects include graphic art, video or animation, websites, and class or community projects.

Examples of planning projects include plans, programs, ordinances, and guidelines; conservation, preservation, and revitalization efforts; best practices; public involvement, outreach, and education; implementation efforts; built projects; and partnerships.
