LD High School senior named to all-eastern choir

Lower Dauphin High School senior Aden Weigle was named to the biennial All-Eastern Honors Choir organized by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Students named to the choir come from the 13-state eastern region of the United States.

Aden, a bass, was selected after his audition at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association's all-state choir festival last year. Aden was also named to NAfME's All National Honors Choir last year.

The son of Kenneth and Melissa Weigle, Aden is a four-year member of the Lower Dauphin choir program and has participated in the musical and fall play every year. This year, he was Oliver in "PUFFS," and he will be Warbucks in "Annie."

Aden is also a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, History Honor Society and Latin Language Honor Society. He plans to attend college to major in computer science and continue participating in choral programs.

The All-Eastern Honors Choir will perform on Sunday, April 16, at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y., under the direction of Jason Max Ferdinand, director of choral activities at the University of Maryland.
