LDFF golf outing set for May 3

The Lower Dauphin Falcon Foundation (LDFF) will hold its 16th annual golf outing on Friday, May 3, at Manada Golf Club, 609 Golf Lane, Grantville. Registration will start at noon, with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

The annual charity golf outing is one of two major fundraising events for LDFF, a nonprofit education foundation formed to support Lower Dauphin students and the district's educational and extracurricular programs.

There will be a fee per golfer for the four-person scramble. There will be several on-course contests and prizes, an auction and a meal following the round. To sign up to play or for more information, visit http://www.ldfalconfoundation.org. The registration deadline for golfers is Friday, April 12.

The title sponsor for the event is Rohrer, the district's transportation contractor, but several other sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information, contact Angela Anspach at foundation@ldsd.org.

Established in 2006, the mission of the LDFF is to enhance educational opportunities through grants, camps and other initiatives, within the Lower Dauphin School District and community.

The goal of the LDFF is to partner with the community to raise funds and awareness for its mission, resulting in educational excellence through programs and projects that benefit Lower Dauphin students, including scholarships for graduating seniors pursuing higher education.

LDFF is governed by elected officers drawn from community volunteers and is guided by formal by-laws. LDFF functions separately from the Lower Dauphin Board of School Directors, but within the framework of the policies established by that governing body.
