The Lower Dauphin Falcon Foundation (LDFF) will hold its 15th annual charity golf outing at Manada Golf Club in Grantville on Friday, May 5. Once again, this year's title sponsor is Rohrer Bus Service.

The event will begin with registration and lunch at 11:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. A dinner catered by the 1762 Tavern, formerly The Wick, will be available after the tournament. There will be numerous skills contests and prizes available to players, including a $10,000 hole-in-one prize.

Proceeds from the event will support grants to fund programs in the Lower Dauphin School District that directly benefit Lower Dauphin students. Last year's outing raised almost $18,000 despite being rained out.

Golfers of all skill levels are welcome, and organizers can place individuals in groups of four, if needed. Sponsorship opportunities and player spots are still available.

The Lower Dauphin Falcon Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, was established in 2006 to foster greater community support in the education and development of the students in the Lower Dauphin School District. Its purpose as an independent, public, charitable organization is to encourage community-wide participation and philanthropy to enhance and expand enrichment opportunities for all students in the district. It is the goal of the foundation to ensure long-range financial flexibility for schools within the district.
