Library plans programs

Blind Date with a Book will be available from Monday to Saturday, Feb. 12 to 17. Books will be wrapped up with only the first line visible. After reading the book, patrons should fill out and return the book's Rate Your Date card to be entered into a drawing for a prize. Books will be available while supplies last.

The Friends of the Lititz Public Library will host a puzzle sale on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The library will offer several ongoing programs. These activities include Lititz Game Club for players age 10 and older on Wednesdays, Feb. 7 and 21, at 4:30 p.m.; Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County on Feb. 7 at 6 p.m.; Painting Club on Wednesdays, Feb. 14 and 28, at 12:30 p.m.; Great Decisions Discussion Group on Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m.; Newcomers and Neighbors Book Club on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m.; Knitting Club on Monday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m.; Writing Club on Feb. 19 at 1 p.m.; Jane Austen Society on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 6:30 p.m.; Adult Coloring Club on Feb. 27 at 2 p.m.; and Lititz Art Association on Feb. 27 at 6 p.m.

Members of the Blanketeers will gather to make blankets of various kinds for Project Linus on Feb. 20 at 2 p.m.

The Exploring Growing Together Discussion Forum will be offered on Thursdays, Feb. 8 and 22, at 11 a.m. Books, articles, and videos are used to facilitate discussion.

A Look at Libraries: The Value of Information will be held on Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m. This session will examine how libraries have been funded historically and how changes in publishing and technology are bringing new challenges to what libraries can offer.

Swing Street will present a concert on Feb. 22 at 6:30 p.m. The quartet, based in Lancaster, plays a mix of mainstream jazz standards, jazz adaptations of popular tunes, and smooth jazz selections.

Accessible Yoga with Black Cat Yoga will be held on Friday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m. People of all abilities are welcome to participate.

A Wine Tasting Class: Leap Into Spring will be held on Leap Day, Thursday, Feb. 29, at 6 p.m. Doreen Hershey will lead.

The library's winter StoryWalk is "Winter Dance" by Marion Dane Bauer. The StoryWalk begins to the right of the library entrance and moves counterclockwise around the library.

Family Story Time will be held on Wednesdays, Feb. 7 to 28, at 6 p.m. for children of all ages with a caregiver.

During the Paws to Read program on Saturdays, Feb. 10 and 24, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., children can read stories to trained therapy dogs.

Cruise Into Kindergarten will meet on Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m. Cruise Into Kindergarten is geared to children ages 3 to 6 and is based on the national Every Child Ready to Read program. After hearing a story, children and caregivers will visit stations intended to help with skills that children need to start school.

Lil' Builders Story Time will be offered on Wednesdays, March 13 to 27, at 6 p.m. This program is for children ages 3 to 5, and they should attend independently.
