Library plans programs

Kreutz Creek Library (KCL), 66 Walnut Springs Road, York, will offer programs and services to the community. For details and registration, call the library at 717-252-4080 or visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

Books for donation may be dropped off with no appointment needed on Saturday, Feb. 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from noon to 6 p.m.

KCL's upcoming programs include Baby and Toddler Story Time for children from birth to age 3 on Wednesdays, Feb 7 to 28, and Preschool Story Time for children ages 3 to 5 on Fridays, Feb. 2 to 23. These programs will run from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., and reservations are required.

A Winter/Spring Family Story Time with Miss Felicia will be held at Chick-fil-A, 2801 E. Market St., York, on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 9 a.m. Reservations are requested.

Phoe, Fi, Fo, Fun: Fun with Phoe(nix) will take place on Monday, Feb. 19, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Junior volunteer Phoe will lead stories, songs, and a craft based on the theme "Presidents."

Builder's Club, for people ages 6 to 12, will be held on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 17, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Activities for tweens ages 9 to 11 will be offered on Tuesdays, Feb. 13 and 20, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The Danger Club will meet on Feb. 13, and Library Squad will gather on Feb. 20.

The Spoiler Alert! teen book review group will meet via Zoom on Feb. 1 from 5 to 6 p.m. Reservations are requested.

Manga Book Club for teens will take place on Feb. 17 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. This program will occur after the library is closed to the public. Only teens attending this program will be allowed inside.

Stitch and Chat groups, for knitters and crocheters, will meet on Feb. 1 and 15 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and on Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 1 to 2:45 p.m.

Reiki Meditation with Miranda will take place on Feb. 1 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The Green Thumb Garden Club will meet on Thursday, Feb. 8, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Melanie Markowski will present "Growing Healthy Micro Greens and Sprouts Indoors."

York Chess Club, for people of all ages, will be held on Feb. 6, 13, and 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Kelly Ford, an environmental education specialist with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, will present 2024 Total Eclipse of the Sun: Get Ready for the Close-Up! on Thursday, Feb.22, at 6:30 p.m.

People of all ages are invited to hear Ford speak about the total solar eclipse that will be visible in North America on Monday, April 8. Ford will share information about what to expect and safety guidelines for watching the eclipse.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 5:30 p.m.
