Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, will offer a variety of activities to the community. For more details and registration, contact the library at 717-626-2255 or visit http://www.lititzlibrary.org.

The library will close early on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 4 p.m. and will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025.

The library will offer several ongoing programs. These activities include Knitting Club, for knitters and crocheters, on Mondays, Jan. 6 and 20, at 10 a.m. and Tuesdays, Jan. 14 and 28, at 6 p.m.; Baked Books Club on Jan. 14 at 2 p.m.; Beginner Tai Chi Easy on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 6:30 p.m.; Lititz Game Club, for players age 10 and older, on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 4:30 p.m., with no meeting on Jan. 1; Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 6 p.m., which represents a departure from the normal schedule; Painting Club on Wednesdays, Jan. 8 and 22, at 12:30 p.m.; Great Decisions Discussion Group on Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m.; Exploring Growing Together Discussion Forum on Thursdays, Jan. 9 and 23, at 11 a.m.; Lititz Garden Club on Thursday, Jan. 2, at 6:30 p.m.; Genealogy Club on Jan. 15 at 6:30 p.m.; Writing Club on Jan. 20 at 1 p.m.; Jane Austen Society on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 6:30 p.m.; the Lititz Art Association meeting on Jan. 28 at 6 p.m.; the Art of Your Energy Meditation GroupĀ on Jan. 22 at noon; Literary Travelers Book Club on Friday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m.; and Accessible Yoga with Black Cat Yoga on Fridays, Jan. 3 and 24, at 10 a.m.

Members of the Blanketeers will gather to make blankets of various kinds for Project Linus on Jan. 7 and 21 at 2 p.m.

Lititz Historical Foundation will present "An Establishment of Order and Prosperity: Outsider Visitation to Bethlehem and OtherĀ Moravian Towns" on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 1:30 p.m.

The Moravian town of Bethlehem went through a series of developmental changes between 1741 and 1845 that saw the community go from a closed form of church-controlled communalism to an entirely open society. In his talk, Christopher Malone will highlight the changes that were precipitated by the outside world's direct influence and change to the Moravians' mission efforts in North America.

Everyday Magic: Bringing More Magic Into Your Everyday Life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 6 p.m. Attendees will learn about being present in the moment and more.

The Red Rose Quilters Guild of Lancaster Embroidery Mini Group will meet on Jan. 22 at 1:30 p.m. The club focuses on machine embroidering.

Attorney Shawn Pierson from the Law Office of Shawn Pierson will present an Elder Law Seminar on Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. Pierson, who has 26 years of experience in elder law and a nursing home administrator background, will provide insights into estate planning, estate administration, and nursing home planning. Topics will include the importance of preparing for the future, how to protect assets, tools for meeting estate planning goals, and how to secure assets if nursing home care becomes necessary.

The BYOB Book Club will meet on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. Attendees should bring a book they are currently reading.

The Ragtime Willi Band will perform in concert at the library on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6:30 p.m.

The band's repertoire includes folk songs, bluegrass tunes, rock classics played acoustically, and originals, all in a style the band calls funky folk music.

During the Paws to Read program, children may read stories to trained therapy dogs. The program will be offered on Saturdays, Jan. 11 and 25, at 10 a.m.

Cruise Into Kindergarten will meet on Jan. 20 at 6:30 p.m. Cruise Into Kindergarten is geared to children ages 3 to 6 and is based on the national Every Child Ready to Read program. After hearing a story, children and caregivers will visit stations intended to help with skills that children need to start school.

EducArt - Intercultural Music Learning will be offered on Jan. 20. Sessions will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. for kids 10 months to 3 years old and from 4 to 4:45 p.m. for children 6 to 8 years old. Children will sing, dance, and more. The program will have Spanish language components.

Indoor story times will be offered between Monday, Jan. 27, and Thursday, April 10, for children ages 6 months to 5 years.
