The Quarryville Library Center, 357 Buck Road, Quarryville, has planned activities. To register, visit http://www.quarryvillelibrary.org and click on "Events."

The Summer Reading Program will begin on Saturday, June 7, and run through Saturday, Aug. 16. This year's theme is "Color Our World." The library will provide each person who finishes the challenge with a new book, in addition to other prizes. There will also be Lancaster Stormers vouchers available to all participants. The age groups are birth to age 4, ages 5 to 9, ages 10 to 12, and ages 13 to 19. Adults are also challenged to read at least six books to win a small prize and be entered in a drawing for a Longwood Gardens family pass. Participants may pick up a reading log at the library or access the program through the Beanstack app.

The library will offer a Death Salon - a conversation about death and dying - on Thursday, June 5, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event is designed to be a safe space free of judgement to share views with no agenda or goals. It is open to people age 18 and older.

The Afternoon Book Club will meet on Wednesday, June 11, from 1:15 to 3 p.m. to discuss "The Class Assignment Is Murder" by Carolyn Kleinman and share a potluck lunch. Kleinman will be present at the event and available to sign copies of her book.

Crafts and Conversation will take place on Wednesday, June 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. Adults and teens may come to the library to make crafts and socialize. Attendees should bring their own materials.

National Parks: The Color of Our Nation will be held on June 18 from 6 to 7 p.m. Attendees will learn about some of the national treasures, historic sites, and federal recreation lands within a day's journey. The program is for adults and teens.

A program about 3D printing will be held on Thursday, June 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Local resident Ryan Amey will demonstrate the uses of 3D printers and answer questions. The event is for adults, teens, and tweens.

Yoga will be offered on Tuesdays from June 3 through July 8 from 6 to 7 p.m. Attendees should bring a yoga mat or bath towel, a hand towel, and a water bottle. Adults and teens of all skill levels are welcome.

Tech Help with Bella will be offered on Tuesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. Community members may drop in to get assistance with technology.

The Friends of the Library is seeking new members. The Friends support the library by holding book sales and an annual holiday cookie and gift sale, operating the bookstore, and running food services during Go-Fore Golf. For more information, visit the aforementioned website and click on "Friends of the Library" under "Get Involved."

The Friends of the Library will accept donations of books in salable condition on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The library accepts nonperishable food donations and other items for Solanco Neighborhood Ministries. Needed items include manual can openers, laundry detergent pods, feminine hygiene products, bar soap, baby wipes, and diapers. Donations may also be dropped off at Solanco Neighborhood Ministries, 14 S. Church St., Quarryville, on Mondays to Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon.
