Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, will offer a variety of events to the community. Preregistration is not required for most programs. For more details and registration, contact the library at 717-626-2255 or visit http://www.lititzlibrary.org.

The library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2.

The Knitting Club will meet on Monday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. and Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 6 p.m. Knitters and crocheters are invited to attend and bring their current project to work on. No meeting on will take place on Jan. 2.

The library offers several ongoing programs. These activities include Morning Yoga on Fridays at 9 a.m.; Tai Chi Easy on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 6:30 p.m., with registration required; Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 6 p.m.; Lititz Garden Club on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 6:30 p.m.; Baked Books Book Club on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m., with registration required by contacting Diane at dguscott@lititzlibrary.org; Painting Club on Wednesdays, Jan. 11 and 25, at 12:30 p.m.; The Great Decisions Discussion Group on Jan. 11 at 6:30 p.m.; the Jane Austen Society on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 6:30 p.m.; Genealogy Club on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 6:30 p.m.; BYOB - Bring Your Own Book (Club) on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m.; Literary Travelers Book Club on Friday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m.; and Lititz Art Association on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 6 p.m.

Members of the Blanketeers will gather to make blankets of various kinds for Project Linus on Jan. 3 and 17 at 2 p.m.

The Ragtime Willi Band will perform in concert at the library on Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. The band plays a mix of folk songs, bluegrass tunes, rock 'n' roll classics played acoustically, and originals, all in a style the band calls funky folk music. Online registration is required and will begin on Thursday, Jan. 12.

The Lititz Historical Foundation will host a presentation, "History of the Conestoga River," on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 1:30 p.m. Local historian and author Donald Kautz will share information related to the Conestoga River. Online registration is required and will begin Friday, Jan. 13.

Cruise Into Kindergarten will meet on Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m. The program is geared to children ages 3 to 6 and is based on the national Every Child Ready to Read program. After hearing a story, children and caregivers will visit stations intended to help with skills that children need to start school.

The library's winter StoryWalk title is "A Penguin Story" by Antoinette Portis. The StoryWalk begins to the right of the library entrance and moves counterclockwise around the library and combines taking a walk and reading a book.

Online registration for indoor story times will open on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, at 7 a.m. The program will run from Monday, Jan. 23, through Thursday, March 23, and will be available to children from 6 months to 5 years old. Evening sessions will be available.
