Library Posts Summer Programs

Honey Brook Community Library, 687 Compass Road, Honey Brook, has announced its summer activities. Registration is required for most programs.

The Summer Reading Program, "Unearth a Story," will be held from Saturday, June 6, to Saturday, August 15. Patrons may register at the library, and they may bring in their reading log weekly to earn giveaway drawing tickets. Anyone who brings a nonexpired food item for the Honey Brook Food Pantry will receive an extra giveaway drawing ticket. Only one extra ticket may be obtained each week.

The Friends of the Honey Brook Library will hold a book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Thursday, June 4, to June 6.

Family Gaming, for families with kids in kindergarten through 12th grade, will be held on Tuesdays, June 16, July 21, and Aug. 18, at 6 p.m. Video, board and card games will be provided.

Tuesday Mornings for Little Ones will be held on Tuesdays, June 2, June 16, July 7, July 21, Aug. 4, and Aug. 18, at 10:15 a.m. The program is open to children ages 2 to 5. It will offer art and STEM activities.

Tuesday Mornings for School Age will take place on Tuesdays, June 9, June 23, July 14, July 28, and Aug. 11, at 10:15 a.m. It is for kids ages 6 to 11.

YA Book Chats and Crafts, for those ages 12 to 18, will be offered on Fridays, June 12, June 26, July 17, July 31, and Aug. 14, at 10:15 am. Attendees will discuss the YA books they are reading and make crafts.

Cookies and Coloring, for people ages 6 to 17, is slated for July 7 and Aug. 4 at 6 p.m. Attendees will learn about coloring and art styles, and compare cookie flavors.

The library will host Stories in the Shade with Miss Jennifer on Wednesdays from July 1 to Aug. 12 at 10:15 a.m. Families may enjoy picture book stories, along with songs and crafts, in the library's back yard, weather permitting. People are advised to bring a blanket.

Summer Crafting will feature arts and crafts activities for kids ages 6 to 11 on Fridays, June 19, July 10, July 24, and Aug. 7, at 10:15 a.m.

Ms. Nancy will lead a sewing program for people age 12 and up on Fridays from June 12 to Aug. 14. The program will run from 6 to 8 p.m.

Evening Family Story Time with Miss Jodi will be held on June 9, July 14, and Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. Attendees are invited to wear pajamas and bring their favorite lovey. The program is for kids ages 2 to 8.

The library will host a Stuffed Animal Sleepover. People may drop off a labeled stuffed friend on July 21 between 1 and 7:30 p.m., and the animals will be available for pickup on Wednesday, July 22, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pictures of the animals' adventures will be posted on Facebook.

Dinosaur-themed parties will be held on Tuesday, June 30, at 10:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. for people ages 6 to 17. Space is limited, and families may sign up for one session only.
