Library sets May schedule

Backyard Story Time for children of all ages will be offered on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. in the library's backyard, weather permitting.

The library will offer several ongoing programs. Morning Yoga will take place at 9 a.m. on Fridays, except May 5. The Knitting Club will meet at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 1, and at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, with no meeting on Monday, May 15. Tai Chi Easy will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2. Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3. Lititz Game Club for players age 10 and older will meet at 4:30 p.m. on May 3, with no meeting on Wednesday, May 17. Lititz Garden Club will meet on Thursday, May 4, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss native perennials with Sinclair Adam.

The Painting Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, May 10 and 24. Great Decisions Discussion Group will meet on May 10 at 6:30 p.m. Lititz Art Association will meet on May 30 at 6 p.m.

The Blanketeers will meet on May 2 at 2 p.m., with no meeting on Tuesday, May 16. The group's members gather to socialize and create blankets of various kinds for Project Linus to distribute to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need of the blankets. Banking and Budgeting Basics will take place on May 17 at 6:30 p.m. The interactive session will discuss how to choose a bank account and assemble a budget. Online registration will open on May 3.

Business Finance Basics has been set for Wednesday, May 24, at 6:30 p.m. The interactive session will focus on how to build, manage, and protect a business for years to come. Online registration will start on May 10.

The Harrisburg Mandolin Ensemble will perform a concert on Saturday, May 20, at 1:30 p.m. The band's repertoire includes original tunes and arrangements from both band members and local musical colleagues, as well as songs drawing from jazz, swing, bluegrass, old-time, folk, and world music. Online registration will open on May 5.

The library's Spring StoryWalk title is "Plant the Tiny Seed" by Christie Matheson. The StoryWalk begins to the right of the library entrance and moves counterclockwise around the library and combines taking a walk and reading a book.
