Library sets programs

Kreutz Creek Library (KCL), 66 Walnut Springs Road, Hellam, will offer programs and services to the community. For details and registration, call the library at 717-252-4080 or visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library will hold a puzzle swap on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to noon. Attendees may purchase jigsaw puzzles with 300 or more pieces or bring a puzzle to swap with one at the event.

The Friends will sell used books and puzzles, as well as bake sale items, at the Hellam Township Public Works Building, 45 Walnut Springs Road, York, on Friday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Books for donation may be dropped off at the library with no appointment needed on Thursdays, April 4 and 25, from noon to 6 p.m. and on Monday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

KCL's upcoming programs include Baby and Toddler Story Time for children from birth to age 3 on Wednesdays, April 3 to 24, and Preschool Story Time for children ages 3 to 5 on Fridays, April 12 to 26. These programs will run from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., and reservations are required.

A Winter/Spring Family Story Time with Miss Felicia will be held at Chick-fil-A, 2801 E. Market St., York, on April 4 at 9 a.m. Reservations are requested.

Story Times with Miss Felicia will be held for children birth to age 5 in the pavilion at Flinchbaugh's Orchard & Farm Market, 110 Ducktown Road, Hellam. The program will take place rain or shine on Tuesdays, April 2 to 30, at 10 a.m. Reservations are requested.

Phoe, Fi, Fo, Fun: Fun with Phoe(nix) will take place on April 15 at 10:30 a.m. Junior volunteer Phoe will lead stories, songs, and a craft based on the theme "Weather." Reservations are requested.

The library's teen volunteers will offer one-on-one story times for kids ages 3 to 6 on Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Builder's Club, for people ages 6 to 12, will be held on Thursday, April 18, at 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 20, at 10:30 a.m.

Activities for tweens ages 9 to 11 will be offered on Tuesdays, April 9 and 16, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Danger Club will meet on April 9, and Library Squad will gather on April 16.

The Spoiler Alert! teen book review group will meet via Zoom on April 4 at 5 p.m. Reservations are requested.

Manga Book Club for teens will take place on Saturday, April 20, at 1:30 p.m. This program will occur after the library is closed to the public. Only teens attending this program will be allowed inside.

Stitch and Chat groups, for knitters and crocheters, will meet on April 4 and 18 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and on April 2 and 16 from 1 to 2:45 p.m.

Reiki Meditation with Miranda will take place on April 4 at 6:30 p.m.

The Green Thumb Garden Club will meet on Thursday, April 11, at 6:30 p.m. Melanie Markowski and Judy Pena will instruct attendees in making seed bombs, also known as seed balls.

York Chess Club, for people of all ages, will be held on Tuesdays, April 2, 9, and 16, at 6 p.m.

A TroveStreet presentation, "Break Free From Emotional Eating," will be presented by Pam Myers, co-founder FULLforlife.com, on April 11 at 1 p.m. This program aims to help people take control of their relationship with food, forgo the diet mentality, break the emotional cycle, and establish healthier habits. The seminar is free of charge, but reservations are required by visiting the aforementioned website or calling TroveStreet at 717-363-1129.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library will meet on Tuesday, April 23, at 5:30 p.m.
