Library to host programs

Kreutz Creek Library (KCL), 66 Walnut Springs Road, York, will offer programs and services to the community. For details and registration, call the library at 717-252-4080 or visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

Programs will include Baby and Toddler Story Time for children from birth to age 3 on Wednesdays through Nov. 15 and Preschool Story Time for children ages 3 to 5 on Fridays through Nov. 17. These programs will run from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., and reservations are required.

A Fall Family Story Time with Miss Felicia will be held at Chick-fil-A, 2801 E. Market St., York, on Thursday, Oct. 5, at 9 a.m. A Kreutz Creek Fall Family Story Time for children from birth to age 5 will take place at Flinchbaugh's Orchard & Farm Market, 110 Ducktown Road, Hellam, on Tuesdays, Oct. 3 to 31, at 10 a.m. Reservations are requested for both of these programs.

Builder's Club, for people ages 6 to 12, will be held on Thursday, Oct. 19, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The Danger Club, for tweens ages 9 to 11, will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

The Teen Leadership group will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Teens are invited to plan projects and programs for the teen space at the library. If interested, call Kayla.

The Spoiler Alert! teen book review group will meet via Zoom on Oct. 5 from 5 to 6 p.m. Reservations are requested.

Manga Book Club for teens will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. This program will occur after the library is closed to the public. Only teens attending this program will be allowed inside.

Stitch and Chat groups, for knitters and crocheters, will meet on Oct. 5 and 19 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and on Oct. 3 and 17 from 1 to 2:45 p.m.

Reiki Meditation with Miranda will take place on Oct. 5 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The Green Thumb Garden Club will meet on Thursday, Oct. 12, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Melanie Markowski will present "Berry Bushes to Feed Your Backyard Songbirds/Make-and-Take Milk Jug Bird Feeder."

York Chess Club, for people of all ages, will be held on Oct. 2, 10, and 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Moving in the Right Direction: Real Estate Downsizing Options for Seniors will be presented by Ginnie Kite, a Seniors Real Estate Specialist Realtor, on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Preregistration is requested.

Trove Street Aging in Place Fall Tour will take place on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Subject matter experts, representing a variety of aging-in-place topics, will share advice, resources, and tips for aging well. There will be snacks and prizes. The program is free, but registration is requested by calling 717-363-1129.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library will meet on Oct. 24 at 5:30 p.m.
