Library to offer programs

Milanof-Schock Library, 1184 Anderson Ferry Road, Mount Joy, will offer a variety of programming. All programs are free, unless stated otherwise, and require preregistration. For more information and to register, visit http://www.mslibrary.org or call 717-653-1510.

The library will be closed on Monday, Feb. 19, for Presidents' Day.

Gently used books and media can be donated to the self-service shed behind the library on Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Programs for children and teens include Fun Fort Friday for families on Feb. 9 from 5 to 6 p.m.; Teen Chill & Draw with Hanna on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m.; Adventures with Baby on Monday, Feb. 12, at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 6 months to 2 years; Super Science, for children age 4 and up, on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 10:30 a.m.; Lego Challenge on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.; and Fun Family Bingo on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m.

Family Story Time will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays through Feb. 29.

Families are invited to a showing of "The Super Mario Brothers Movie" on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 1:30 p.m. Free popcorn will be provided.

Several activities have been planned especially for homeschoolers age 7 and up. For each class, two identical sessions will be available. Homeschool Art Class will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday, Feb. 8, at 1:30 p.m. Homeschool STEM will be held on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 1:30 p.m. and Feb. 20 at 10:30 a.m. Students may also attend Homeschool History Mystery on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 1:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 10:30 a.m.

Snorey Time Family Story Time is slated for Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. Children are invited to attend wearing pajamas and bring a favorite doll or stuffed buddy.

Teen D&D, open to youths ages 12 to 19, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. Interested individuals may contact Jan Betty at jbetty@mslibrary.org.

Activities for adults will include Adult Game Night on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 5 p.m.; Closely Knit, for knitters and crocheters, on Mondays, Feb. 12 and 26, at 1 p.m., with no registration necessary; Joyful Stitchers Cross-Stitch Club, for people of all skill levels, on Saturday, Feb. 17, from 9:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.; book bingo on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m.; Easy Writer Club, for writers of all levels, on Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m., with no registration required; Make-It Monday - Fabric Wreath Making, for people age 14 and up, on Feb. 26 at 6 p.m.; and Lit Lovers Book Discussion Group on Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

The Friends of the Library will meet on Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Adults are invited to attend a showing of "The Lake House" featuring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 1:30 p.m. Free popcorn will be provided.

Community members are welcome to attend the library's board meeting on Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Adults are invited to celebrate Leap Day by attending a showing of "Leap Year" on Feb. 29 at 1:30 p.m. Free popcorn will be provided.
