The Elizabethtown/Mount Joy Christian Women's Connection invites local women to attend the "Life's Surprises" brunch on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 9:30 a.m. at Gus's Keystone Family Restaurant, 1050 W. Main St., Mount Joy. The set price is inclusive.

Melissa Nordoff from Lancaster will present a program about the Best Kept Secrets Tour. Attendees will also hear from Lisa Haley, a young mom and author from West Salem, Ohio. She will compare her rafting accident to life's struggles in "Surviving Life's Surprises."
