Linder named MAC Player of the Week

Owen Linder of Lancaster is one of six Lebanon Valley College student-athletes to receive a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Player of the Week award. Linder, a member of the men's track and field team, was named Middle Atlantic Conference Track Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 14.

Linder had two notable races at the Dutchmen Invitational. He ran a career-best 55-meter time of 6.66 seconds to win the final after running 6.73 seconds in the preliminaries. His converted 60-meter time of 7.16 seconds is ranked 23rd in the Mid-Atlantic region and ninth in the MAC. The junior then came back and anchored the 4x400-meter relay team that finished second in 3 minutes, 38.97 seconds. Linder got the baton with a big gap to make up for first and nearly pulled off the comeback, as he finished two seconds behind the winning team from Goucher.

Linder, a graduate of Conestoga Valley High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration in accounting and business administration.
