Lions Club honors LCCTC students

The Manheim Lions Club recently awarded its first two Manheim Lions CTC Student of the Month awards to students at Lancaster County Career & Technology Center (LCCTC). The awards were presented at recent Lions Club meetings.

The Student of the Month for September was Brooks Montgomery. He is enrolled in the architectural CAD program at the Brownstown campus and was recommended by his instructor, Mr. Ecenrode. He currently has a class average of 96% and has perfect attendance. Brooks was recently accepted to the Pennsylvania College of Technology to study engineering design technology. He recently joined the FFA at Manheim Central High School, and he is a volunteer firefighter.

The Student of the Month for October was Caleb McElheny. He is enrolled in the animal production science and technology program at the Willow Street campus and was recommended for recognition by his instructor, Lori Lefever. Caleb is currently learning about animal husbandry, including the health and behavior of animals, and their anatomy and physiology. He was a member of the chess club.
